                    Bihar SSC CGL Selection Process 2025

 Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will be recruiting candidates for different vacant posts based on two stages:

Stage 1- Prelims Exam

Stage 2- Mains Exam

Only those students who qualify for the Prelims Exam will be eligible to apply separately for the Mains Examination. For the Mains examination, BSSC CGL is expected to shortlist the applicants in the ratio of 1:5 concerning the total number of available vacancies.

BSSC CGL Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The BSSC CGL Preliminary Exam is a qualifying exam.

For the BSSC CGL Prelims, students will get 2 hours and 15 minutes to attempt all questions.

For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Candidates qualifying for the BSSC CGL Preliminary Exam will be eligible to appear for the BSSC CGL Mains Exam.

Exam Pattern

Stages: Two stages: Preliminary and Mains.

Preliminary Exam:

Objective-type paper.

Total questions: 150.

Total marks: 600.

Marking scheme: +4 for correct answer, -1 for incorrect answer.

Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Subjects: General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, and Reasoning Ability.

Main Exam:

·       Paper 1 (General Hindi): Qualifying paper with 100 questions for 400 marks; a minimum of 30% is required to pass.

·       Paper 2: Covers the same subjects as the prelims (General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, Reasoning Ability).
